| Perhaps the universe is contained in thought, and space really doesn't exist. viz. Space is thought-of by a great being. and not really what we perceive as "space". Can thoughts not bend? Can thoughts not make light?... I know within my own brain that I can think up sounds and lights and any manner of "real -life" experiences. But they are just thoughts. perhaps thoughts within thoughts? Using this model, one can easily fall into the trap of thinking of this thought-of universe the same way we would think of thoughts within our own heads, thereby easily disproving the theory. But I'm speaking of an actual existence created by the thought and contained in the thought of a being who's nature it is to be in thought. Our perception of space and of thoughts would therefore not apply. They only apply to what we perceive, that is, what our thought and physical transactions would have us believe. Perhaps we thus miss the entire scope of existence: we exist not in our definition of physicality, but in true thought-existence which obviously has no need of things like space and time (at least not our model of time, or Einstein's model), and an understanding which states that the universe is either expanding or contracting. There is only thought, and that is true existence. Space, the universe, etc does not actually exist. This solves problems such as "what is outside the universe if it is expanding? Is space just a giant loop? How can space be something and not truly nothing, since outside of space is where nothing truly is and how can this nothing not just be more space but an absolute non-existence, as the existence of space-time doesn't even exist? Perhaps it's our perception of the existence of such things that is wrong, at least in the WAY that we understand existence. |
